Does cccp give mplayer2 access to new codecs, or would it just call media player classic? I'll check with the IT group about whether there are any known issues with putting cccp on the work computers so I can give it a try. I'm not sure whether using cccp would fix the issue. Mov files can be played using the quicktime player, but embedded mov files in a powerpoint cannot be played in quicktime.
